Fuel slip in the second, lose 4-2 to Florida

The Indy Fuel started a three game homestand with a 4-2 loss against the Florida Everblades, the ECHL affiliate for the Nashville Predators. In the first period, the Fuel’s Connor McDonald scored his first career pro goal, cleaning up a loose rebound in the slot. The second period told a different tale, as Justin Auger and Blake Winiecki tacked on two goals for the Everblades. Winiecki tipped his second power play goal past Fuel goaltender Dan Bakala, but Indy’s Derian Plouffe responded almost immediately with a power play goal of his own. However, Florida’s Patrick McCarron sniped a 200 foot empty-net goal, putting the Fuel away for the night.
