Earlier this month, Colton Sissons was named to the American Hockey League All Star Team and for good reason. As the leading scorer on the Milwaukee Admirals, Sissons has been able to produce throughout his career. In his three seasons with the Kelowna Rockets of the Western Hockey League, Sissons amassed 149 points (71 G – 78 A). Before his recent call up to the Nashville Predators, he had tallied 28 points (16 G – 12 A) in 42 games for the Milwaukee Admirals.
On Tuesday, January 28, in his first NHL game, Sissons skated for 10:49 and put up his first NHL point, an assist on a Nick Spaling goal in second period. We spoke with the 20 year old native of North Vancouver, British Columbia following the Predators practice at Bridgestone Arena on Thursday and he was still beaming over the opportunity he has been given.
