UAH falls in tough battle against Michigan Tech

A talented Michigan Tech squad began their season series against a surging Alabama-Huntsville squad on Friday night with a 4-2 victory. At times, the Chargers dominated the game, spending countless minutes in the Michigan Tech zone, but just couldn’t capitalize on the chances given.

Huge momentum shifts were seen in the game with penalty after penalty being called on each team. UAH killed off five of six penalties, including two full minutes of a 5-on-3 that was part of a five-minute checking from behind penalty on captain Brent Fletcher.

Matt Larose stopped 36 of the 40 shots he faced and made some tremendous saves to keep the Chargers in the game. Brandon Parker scored his first career goal Friday evening when his clearing attempt ended up on net and went five-hole on Michigan Tech goaltender Jamie Phillips.

Below are post game interviews with head coach Mike Corbett, Brandon Parker and Matt Larose.
