Social Media Reviews of the Predators: Game One

ashton-remaxJust like that, the Nashville Predators announced, with authority, their entrance into the 2016-2017 NHL season with a 3-2 win over the Chicago Blackhawks.  Despite giving up four power play opportunities to the Blackhawks, the defense stepped up and killed off all four.  Pekka Rinne, who looked shaky to start the game was considered the “best player on the ice,” by head coach, Peter Laviolette.  The two teams head up I-65 to play in the United Center to complete a home-and-home to start the season on Saturday night.

But Friday night also saw the return of a perennial fan favorite: Hockey Twitter/Facebook.

Whether you’re a budding play-by-play enthusiast looking to provide your followers with your unique twist on the goings on, or you take pride in trolling the opposition, hockey’s popularity has been impacted greatly by the use of social media, by fans and those associated with the teams alike.

So, what did the hockey world have to say about the Predator’s victory in game one?
