Penalty Box Radio is excited to announce our Hits Help Fundraiser!
Nashville Predators defender Jeremy Lauzon has been giving a new meaning to “Smashville” this season. He’s been on pace to break the NHL record for most hits in a season. He’s already surpassed the Predators’ franchise record, previously held by Tanner Jeannot, with 318 and continues setting the bar higher each game.
While this is already an exciting record chase, we here at Penalty Box Radio want to make it even more impactful off the ice. We are collecting pledges based on Lauzon’s total number of hits on the season. All donations will be directed to Jeremy Lauzon’s preferred charity Friends of MACC.
Friends of MACC works directly with Metro Animal Care and Control (MACC), Nashville’s only open admission shelter that serves nearly 7,000 homeless animals each year. They focus on enriching the shelter environment for animals and people, supporting community programs, and promoting adoptions to help save Nashville’s homeless animals.
We want pledges in the form of X cents per hit this season. For example, if you pledge 5 cents per hit and Lauzon breaks the record by one hit (383), you’ll donate $19.15 to Friends of MACC. You also have the option to donate a flat amount.
You can access the Pledge Form here: Penalty Box Radio Hits Help Fundraiser Pledge Form
This is a fun way to get involved with the record chase, enjoy the run-up to the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and help out a little along the way. Plus, you can win a cool prize:
Everyone that pledges (and donates) will be entered to win! Just fill out the pledge form, share your pledge on social media using #HitsHelp, and get some more people involved. When the season (or postseason depending on your pledge) is over, make your donation and share!
