The Nashville Predators are signing Ryan O’Reilly and Luke Schenn. O’Reilly’s deal is 4 years with an AAV of $4.5 million. Schenn’s will be 3 years with an AAV of $2.75 million.
Both O’Reilly and Schenn most recently played with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Last season, O’Reilly had 16 goals and 14 assists for the Leafs, Schenn had 4 goals and 18 assists.
With this signing, Trotz and Brunette most likely envision O’Reilly bringing veteran leadership to the both the locker room and the center of the ice. Schenn will most likely be a bottom 4 defender.
Don’t forget the Predators have Prospect Development Camp starting up this week. It’ll be your first chance to see a lot of their draft picks on the ice.
