Many notable Nashville Predators did not skate with the team in their game against the Dallas Stars Saturday night. Captain Shea Weber and partner Roman Josi, along with Mike Fisher, Mike Ribeiro and Pekka Rinne all did not participate in the game. That being said, the Predators played a very tight game against the Central Division champion Dallas Stars, eventually falling 3-2.
Jason Spezza scored all three goals for the Stars, who rallied from a 2-0 deficit to get the win. Ryan Ellis opened the scoring just 19 seconds into the game and Dallas didn’t even show life in the game until the second period. For many rookies playing increased minutes, the Predators set a good tone for the playoffs that will start next week.
