After a bit of a rocky start to the current homestand, the Nashville Predators have now earned five out of a possible six points in three games and one remaining at home. Two of those points came Saturday evening against the NHL-leading Washington Capitals.
Filip Forsberg remained hot in the game, and while he didn’t notch another hat trick, he tallied a goal and two assists. With the three-point night, Forsberg now has 10 points in his last four games and is second on the team in points with 45.
Roman Josi is another player that has been hot of late. His two goals in the victory moved him into double digits in goals scored at 11. Josi has 12 points since February 7, the most of any defensemen in the league.
Nashville’s victory moved them back into third place in the Central Division with 69 points, jumping the St. Louis Blues.
Next up are the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday afternoon before the Predators embark on a two-game road trip to Buffalo and Montreal.
