As the Preds return home to face the Rangers on Saturday, maybe I can help get you to a truck or 2 before your pre-game activities begin!
If you want to start a littler earlier, the uber popular Grilled Cheeserie will be at Yazoo Brewery & Taproom from Noon – 3 PM. The Taproom will be open until 6 PM though so if you wanted to hang around the taproom after you get some lunch before the game. Maybe get a Brewery Tour! Go for lunch, drink some good beer, hang out with a few friends, and then you are literally a hop, skip, & a jump away from the arena. (Less than a mile!)
Massaman Curry Egg Roll – DegThai
If you want to grab something on your way downtown, DegThai food truck will be at Friedman’s Army/Navy Store from 11 AM – 5 PM. You gotta try their “Massaman” dish. It’s placed each of the last 2 years at the Nashville Street Food Awards (actually winning Best Sandwich…er wrap). He entered it as an eggroll this year and it placed as well!!! Friedman’s Army/Navy Store is located at 2101 21st Avenue. So you can swing by on your way downtown. Granted you will have to hit DegThai before 5, but it will get you downtown just in time for partying on the plaza!!!
Yayo’s Meximelt
If you are over on the east side of town, one of my favorite trucks, Yayo’s OMG (Original Mexican Gourmet…or as I say “OH MY GOD”), will be at the Shoppes on Fatherland until 4 PM. The Shoppes are having their “East Nashville Harvest Hey Day”. So while you’d have to eat a little early, you can always do a little shopping before you head downtown. The Shoppes on Fatherland are located at 1006 Fatherland Street. The good news is? They are less than 2 miles away from the LP Field parking lot. So if you park at LP Field for the games, this may be a very convenient option for you!
