Building Upon Recent Success
On Tuesday night, the Predators faithful lost faith in their team after going down 3-0 against the St. Louis Blues in Nashville. Then, due to some act of nature or sheer willpower, the Predators were able to mount a comeback and score six unanswered goals to win 6-3. The Nashville Predators will need to build upon the success from Tuesday night. The recent success with the Nashville Predators is contingent on a stronger game in the defensive end. If the defense can play more consistent, this team can go far and have extended success.
Stopping the Wild
Throughout the first half of this season, certain teams have stood out as possible winners of the division. In the Central division, the Minnesota Wild are beginning to impress and becoming a dominant force early on this season. Over the last five games, the Wild have won every game. The Nashville Predators will have a tough task tonight in defeating one of the hottest teams in the NHL. If the Predators can play like they did during the second half of Tuesday night’s match-up, they stand a very good chance in ending Minnesota’s winning streak.
Ellis’ Impact
The Nashville Predators have seen their fair share of injuries early on this season. The defensive corps was took a huge blow when Ryan Ellis went down with an injury. On Tuesday night, his return showed one major thing missing, an all-around player that is required for Nashville’s success. Ellis put in a good night’s work both offensively and defensively. His impact on this team is high and, quite frankly, one of the most necessary components for this team’s success.
The Nashville Predators will try to stop a successful Minnesota Wild team tonight at Bridgestone Arena. Be sure to catch all of the action on Fox Sports-Tennessee or you can listen live on 102.5 The Game. Puck drops at 7:00 pm!
