During an otherwise uneventful game against the Anaheim Ducks, Nashville Predators forward Filip Forsberg just made an unreal play that might go on all the highlight reels at the end of the season.
With the Preds at even strength following a power play chance, Alex Carrier took the puck down the right circle and sent a shot towards the net. The puck bounced up in the air, with Filip Forsberg tracking it perfectly.
He then made contact with the puck twice in mid-air, once to bring it back and once to propel it forward, before sending the puck into the Anaheim net.
Take a look for yourself at this incredible play:
How in the world???
Filip Forsberg has collected more than a few highlight reel goals in his 12-year NHL career. We all remember him going between the legs (twice) and of course his “Michigan” style goal.
But I can’t recall a time when he’s batted the puck twice in mid-air to make a goal happen.
No doubt this goal is an early submission for “Goal of the Year” on the Nashville Predators.
