As the 2015-16 regular season ends, the 2016 NHL Entry draws near. Junior leagues are in playoff mode in Canada, limiting the opportunities for scouts to see the players prior to the draft. Rankings and scouting reports become more important for teams to consider in interviewing and picking who they think is the right fit for their organization.
ISS Hockey has released their latest top 30 prospects for the 2016 NHL Draft. While the top three remain the same, there has been some shifting in the rankings below. ISS Hockey Releases ISS Top 30 For April, Rankings Of Top Prospects For 2016 NHL Draft
As the season winds down, Matthews (#1), Puljujarvi (#2) and Laine (#3) remain as Top 3 in the ISS Top 30 April Release
April 06, 2016 [Waterloo, ON] ISS Hockey has released its monthly ranking of the top prospects eligible for the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. This month’s rankings include the top 185 skaters, along with the top 15 goaltenders, as evaluated and ranked by ISS Hockey’s worldwide network of scouts.
Below is the ISS Top 30, highlighting the rankings for the top 30 prospects, which are released on the first Wednesday of every month during the hockey season. An interactive page where the ISS Top 30 interact with our scouts can be viewed at: http://ISStop30.com.
Although Matthews (#1), Puljujarvi (#2) and Laine (#3), all remain as Top 3 in the ISS Top 30 April Release, the remaining 27 ranks have shuffled. With the season winding down, Jake Bean, a left defender from Calgary Hitmen in the WHL, has become the biggest jumper, rising six ranks to #15.
