With the Nashville Predators playing an excellent game against the New York Rangers on the road, some injury news has spoiled the fun.
As initially reported on the Bally Sports broadcast, Cody Glass left the game in the 1st period. He was seen heading to the locker room after taking a shift on the power play, but the injury wasn’t clear at the moment.
After taking only three shifts and logging 1:46 TOI in the game, he did not return. Later in the game, it was announced Glass would not return to the game due to an injury.
Watching his three shifts, it’s difficult to find exactly where the injury occurred, but the most likely incident is at the 15:39 mark of the 1st period:
Glass is in the first year of a two year contract worth $5 million. The Predators, who are looking to build momentum under first year head coach Andrew Brunette, can ill afford one of their top centers to miss any time.
We will provide updates on Cody Glass’s injury as we learn more.
