The NHL was abuzz with news this week, primarily due to the unanimous decision to add Seattle as its 32nd team. On a related note, the NHL announced that the Arizona Coyotes would become the Central Division’s eighth member. Finally, William Nylander signed a new deal for Toronto at the eleventh hour, signaling an end to months of trade rumors and questions about his future.
In this episode, we discuss the implications of another expansion draft for the Nashville Predators. It’s early in the process, but the team will have to send someone out west (that is, as long as the team wants a cut of that sweet $650 million entry fee). George makes his somewhat saddening prediction for which player will be sent packing.
Speaking of the Predators, the injury-ridden team has been finding ways to win games as of late, though the on-ice product has been lacking. Trap hockey is back in Smashville, which is bad news for spectators. This early in the season, do the ends justify the means? Also, has Juuse Saros been banished from the lineup forever? We discuss.
Finally, we wrap up answering some excellent questions from Twitter. Also, George breaks Michael’s brain with an excellent question of his own.
