AUDIO: Neal, Leipsic on returning to Nashville, Subbans prepare for battle

The Nashville Predators take on the Vegas Golden Knights on Friday at Bridgestone Arena, and all eyes will be on a few key players.

James Neal will make his first appearance on Bridgestone Arena ice since he was picked by the Golden Knights in the 2017 Expansion Draft. He spoke fondly about his time in Nashville after morning skate.

The Subban family will have themselves quite the night on Friday as brothers Malcolm and P.K. will square off for the first time. To add to the intrigue, their father, Karl, will be in attendance as part of Vegas’ fathers trip. Both brothers are focused and ready to square off.

Finally, former Predators prospect Brendan Leipsic will return to Nashville to face off against some players he played with in his 47-game stint in Milwaukee with the Admirals. He was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2015 as part of the deal that sent Cody Franson and Mike Santorelli to Nashville.

Listen to the full audio report from morning skate.

Puck drop between the Predators and Golden Knights is at 7 PM central.

Cutler hails from a strange, faraway land known as “New York.” His family ties to Nashville led him to embrace the city, and its sports teams. In 2016, he spent the summer writing for NHL.com and working in the league headquarters, and in 2017 he interned for the Vegas Golden Knights' communications and content department. He also covers the Vanderbilt Commodores as sports editor the Vanderbilt Hustler, and acts as sports director for VandyRadio. He’s interviewed some big names in the hockey world, including Nicklas Lidstrom, Martin St. Louis, Bobby Clarke, Darren McCarty and Doug Maclean. In the past, he covered the Predators on Predlines.com and the whole NHL for TodaysSlapshot.com.
