The Nashville Predators have seemingly made their final decision on who has made the final 23-man roster for Tuesday’s opener.
Amid Saturday’s waiver appearances as reported by Chris Johnston, two players from Nashville appeared on the list.
Jachym Kondelik, who is in Milwaukee for training camp, has been waived. According to Cap Friendly, his contract is being terminated.
Denis Gurianov, who the Preds signed to a one-year, one-way deal on July 11th, has been waived as well. If he clears waivers, he will report to Milwaukee while being paid his NHL salary.

Though Gurianov was a curious signing to begin with, this is somewhat of a surprising move. With Dallas and Montreal, Gurianov showed a decent two-way game, scoring a total of 51 goals in 280 games to start his career. There was a thought that he could provide at least some depth scoring to a Predators team that finished 28th in scoring last year.
Another waiver option for Nashville would have been Michael McCarron. The 28-year-old has cleared waivers previously and spent most of last year as a veteran leader on a young Milwaukee Admirals team.
But today’s move would indicate that McCarron has made the 23-man roster, along with several other players on the bubble.
Here’s the 23-man roster as it now stands (note: this is not the official 23-man roster; the team is set to make that announcement in the next few days)
