Preds defeat Blue Jackets with Grimaldi shootout winner

The Nashville Predators defeated an injury-riddled Columbus Blue Jackets 4-3 in the shootout Saturday night at home. Following a strong first period that saw the Predators jump out to a 2-0 lead, the second period was frustrating once again.

Nashville allowed Columbus to score three unanswered goals before Colton Sissons evened things up with just 1:03 remaining in the second period. Neither team scored in the third or in overtime, and that was followed by an eight-round shootout where Rocco Grimaldi eventually notched the winner.
