Preds still unable to solve Red Wings, fall 5-3

Including Saturday night’s loss, the Nashville Predators are now 1-10 against the Detroit Red Wings under Peter Laviolette. Detroit, a team that has been in rebuilding mode, still continues to have Nashville’s number. After the Predators battled back in the second period, and an exchange of goals early in the third, the Red Wings pulled ahead for good with just over 10 minutes remaining in regulation.

One of the positives from the game was Nashville notching a power play goal thanks to Viktor Arvidsson. Matt Duchene also tallied two assists, giving him five in two games. Other than that, the Predators gave up too many odd-man rushes and allowed Detroit’s speed to be their demise.
