Top of the food chain no more as Preds sweep Hawks

It was a historic night in Tennessee’s capital as the Nashville Predators completed the sweep of the Chicago Blackhawks Thursday night in front of a standing room only crowd of 17,326. Winning by a score of 4-1, the Predators move on to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs and slay the dragon that were the Blackhawks, the top seed in the Western Conference.

Depth scoring played a role again for Nashville as Colton Sissons notched the game-winning goal in the third period. Roman Josi added two goals and Viktor Arvidsson tallied an empty netter.

This is the first time in franchise history that the Predators have swept an opponent in the playoffs.

Above, hear from Roman Josi, Ryan Ellis, Pekka Rinne, Austin Watson and Colton Sissons.
