On Saturday, the Nashville Predators traveled to Minnesota to take on the struggling Wild. In a 3-1 dominate performance, the Preds were able to get a strong outing from Pekka Rinne, as well as goals from Mike Fisher (1st-4:01), Calle Jarnkrok (3rd-03:48), and Colin Wilson (3rd-08:47).
The ending of the game was very exciting as Matt Cooke was called for Hi-Sticking on Shea Weber at 17:55 of the 3rd. Weber commenced to lay the hammer down on Cooke, and both were sent to the box for fighting.
Another fight broke out between Mike Fisher and Nate Prosser :33 seconds after the Weber/Cooke scrum.
Needless to say, the end of the Preds vs Wild matchup was much talked about on social media.
The NHL-leading, Nashville Predators, are set to get back on the ice tonight as they take on the Vancouver Canucks at Bridgestone Arena. This game will not be televised tonight.
The Vancouver Canucks (23-14-3) last faced off against the Calgary Flames on Saturday. Calgary was able to get the only goal of the game as G Joni Ortio was outstanding stopping 36/36 en route to the Flames victory.
The Predators defeated the Canucks 3-1 on 11/2/14. Filip Forsberg had two goals and an assist and James Neal had two assists. The Canucks will be looking to avenge their loss from early on this season.
The Sedins are once again leading the team in offensive categories. Daniel Sedin leads the team in total points with 36 (9 goals, 27 assists). Henrik Sedin is not far behind his brother with 35 points (8 goals, 27 assists).

Stop the Brotherly Connection
It has been well documented the offensive prowess of the Sedin twins. These two elite level players know how to score, and more importantly, get others in position to score. It is imperative for the Preds to interrupt their ability to get in front of the net. Forechecking will be critical as Nashville tries to stop these dynamic forwards.
Four of Nashville’s Finest Heading to Columbus
Four of Nashville’s finest will be participating in the festivities in Columbus on January 23-25. Captain Shea Weber and Pekka Rinne will be playing in the NHL All-Star game. Filip Forsberg will participate in the Skills Competition. Coach Peter Laviolette will be one of the coaches. This is an outstanding honor as these four represent Nashville as among some of the NHL’s elite.
Colin Wilson…Wow.
Colin Wilson has been playing out of his mind as of recent. The Greenwich, CT native has amassed 26 points on the season (12 goals, 14 assists) and seems to have no intention of slowing down. In the last five outings, Wilson has 4 goals, 6 assists and a +7 rating. Wilson is only 9 points from tying his career high. Many Preds fans have been waiting for this talented forward to start producing at a high level. He is finally there.
