Eastern Canada is Ablaze

Marc Bergevin is back, ladies and gentlemen! The Montreal GM continues his campaign to rid the Canadiens of every player whose personality fails to mirror tapioca pudding, frequently at great expense to his team’s success. This time around, it’s Alex Galchenyuk to Arizona with Max Domi coming the other way. Is the trade really so bad? Listen and find out!

Not to be outdone in the Eastern Canada drama category, serious trouble is brewing in Ottawa. Superstar defenseman Erik Karlsson, in addition to rapidly approaching free agency, is now caught up in a not-at-all ideal situation with teammate Mike Hoffman, who is dating an alleged psychopath. How bad is this for the Senators? Will both players remain come October? We discuss.

It’s Vegas, Baby

Finally, the NHL Awards are right around the corner. Representing Nashville in the Norris race is all-star defenseman P.K. Subban. He’s up against Victor Hedman of Tampa Bay and Drew Doughty of Los Angeles. Is P.K. Due-bban? In the Vezina race is Pekka Rinne, who put up a career-best regular season. Rinne shares the finalist category with Tampa’s Andrei Vasilevskiy and Winnipeg’s Connor Hellebuyck. Arguably, all three are well deserving of the honor.

Don’t miss George Matarangas discussing his intimate shower thoughts, and Michael Wade being the far superior co-host. As always, reach out to them on Twitter at @PodcastBTP any time.
